Etukakpan Cletus Linus is a seasoned Engineering Technologist and Project Manager with over 20 years of robust experience in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), project management, machining, welding and fabrication, facility maintenance, and safety operations. He is known for his hands-on leadership in implementing quality systems, standardizing training curricula, and coordinating youth empowerment initiatives, particularly within the Salesians of Don Bosco network across Nigeria and the Niger Republic.
Currently serving as the Technical and Vocational Training Coordinator for the Africa Nigeria Niger (ANN) Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Cletus leads strategic planning, quality improvement, skills innovation (including AI and green technologies), and organizational development. His efforts have notably enhanced the employability of youth, improved gender inclusion in TVET, and fostered sustainability through green energy initiatives like the 91kWp solar installation in Onitsha.
Previously, as the National Job Service Officer and Project Manager for international donor-backed programs including VIS, Action Aid, and the Global Program, he spearheaded the promotion of TVET as a career path, conducted stakeholder engagements, and successfully managed large-scale project implementations. His achievements include developing a TVET Strategic Plan, organizing employer fora, and drafting a Corporate Cooperation Charter for Don Bosco Nigeria.
His engineering foundation was built at Sunflag Nigeria Ltd and Nigerian Breweries Plc, where he honed skills in machine maintenance, energy auditing, and safety compliance. Cletus also has a strong background in instruction and workshop training, having served as a teacher and welfare coordinator at Don Bosco Technical Institute, where he significantly improved student outcomes and staff morale.
Cletus holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Instrumentation and Control) from Federal Polytechnic Nekede and a Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Craft Practice. He is a member of the International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA) and has undergone numerous international trainings in project management, quality systems, advocacy, M&E, and life skills facilitation across Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Mozambique, and Italy. He brings to every role an exceptional combination of analytical skills, project coordination, relationship building, and a deep commitment to youth development and lifelong learning.
