Ssezibwa Ronald is a highly accomplished Senior Welding Expert, Welding Educator, and Consultant with extensive hands-on and leadership experience in welding, fabrication, welding education, and industrial power systems installations. With a strong background in carbon steel, stainless steel, and a wide range of metal components, he is recognized for his mastery of advanced welding techniques, adherence to international codes and standards (ASME, API, CODRES, CODAP), and commitment to welding education and research.

As the CEO of SEB Engineering Services Ltd. and SEB Energy Ltd., and Technical Director/Trainer at SEB Institute of Welding and Technology (SIWET), Ronald leads multiple industrial projects and vocational training programs across Africa. He has trained and mentored hundreds of welders through TVET initiatives, industrial-standard assessments, and professional development schemes, positioning himself as a leading figure in capacity building within the welding and fabrication sector.

His expertise spans heavy welding and fabrication (pipeline and structural), CNC plasma and laser cutting systems, automated welding systems, welding design and joint preparation, and welding economics and production management. Ronald is certified in a wide range of welding processes including MIG/MAG, MMA, GTAW, OFW, FCAW, SAW, and laser beam welding, with competencies in fillet welding up to 50mm plate and 40mm pipe thickness.

Ssezibwa has pursued advanced international professional training in Germany, India, Finland, and Uganda, earning qualifications as a Certified Welding Trainer and Tester by ECITB (UK, 2024), Certified International Welder (ISO 9606-1), and a Metal Instructor/Trainer (HWK Cologne). He also holds certifications in NDT Level I & II (PT, MT, UT, VI), ISO Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 3834), and CNC operation.

He serves as President of the Welders Society Uganda (WESU), Board Member of the African Welding Federation (AWF/TWF), and Head of the TVET Sector Skills Committee, influencing skills development policy and standards across the continent.

He is also a skilled industrial welding assessor, instructional designer, and project manager with strong organizational abilities, team management skills, and a safety-first approach. Fluent in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Pro-Structures, Creo Parametric), database management, and manufacturing process management (MPM), he consistently delivers high-standard welding solutions and contributes to innovation in the field.
